Melacca- Day 2

Yoyo! Day 2 in Melacca!
The first thing comes in mind is........ hungry XD
After prepared, we drove and parked at the Dutch House.
u'll need to buy parking coupon to park at there.

Then we crossed the river and heading towards the famous Chicken Rice Balls restaurant
It is only10.30AM
According to Hippo, last time his cousin need to line up for hours along the streets
Just to taste the famous chicken rice balls. wtf? seriously so nice ah?

Look at the face = =||| He is too excited to order chicken...rice.

Here you go ~
This is our chicken rice balls and half of the chicken  =)

What so special bout dis chicken:
The taste of the chicken is smooth, soft.
The rice is shaped into small like 5cm balls. come in 5pcs a plate.
The chilli sauce is good!!! doesn't make ur breath full of garlic smells =D it does have a lil bit ginger taste.

Personally, I prefer rice that is not too soft, and for me the rice balls just too soft, I guess to be easier to shape these rice balls they got to cook it more damp and soft.

After meal, we went to the Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum. The Museum entrance fees is RM8.
The Museum is double storey. Here dis is the entrance.

 Visiting Hours
The Baba Nyonya Heritage Museum is closed on Sundays and public holidays.  The visiting time is 10 am to 12:30 pm, and 2 pm to 4:30 pm.

We paid for entrance, but no photo allowed inside the building. = =? wtf?

but I still manage to snapped some scene la. which I turned my back to the CCTV ,zzzZ
Remind me of my Cambodia trip

All these are Victorian Silverware, very shining lor.

Melacca- 3Months Anniversary Trip

My first trip with my dear Bf to the Historic State of Melacca. I've dreamed of immerse myself in the historic old city, and finally I'm here.

We planned to depart at 6am at first, since I'm unwilling to leave my bed so soon, we started our journey at 8am from Kampar. Together with my Piggy

photo taken by deardear

My lovely Bf wake me up for breakfast when we reached Bidor. The famous Herbal Duck Noodles at 品珍酒楼。 The restaurant is kinda old, yet very broad, Another side of the restaurant is selling local packed food like biscuits , cookies and etc.

We' ve ordered few plates of Dim Sum (not very nice),1 Herbal soup duck noodles, and 1 dried-noodles version. Well, dis is mine =D If you like Herbal soup, you'll definitely like dis, yeah, I like it.
Dis is deardear ones. Dried version comes together with a bowl of Herbal soup and a Duck drumstick.

They even selling mooncakes! But i forgot to get one 咸蛋酥, nvm i'll keep it for next visit then.

OK~! after filling our stomach, we continue our journey to the West South !

We reached Melacca town around 2pm, straight check-in to hotel Hotel Hong. We booked the hotel through Booking.com for RM68 per night. The hotel is located at upstairs of a shop. Since it is a budget hotel, it doesn't have a luxury entrance, you'll need to climb up the ladders through the side entrance.

Surprisingly, the hotel room is clean and neat! and the interior design is juz simple and sleek, Just as the photo shown in their website! The workers are very~~~very  friendly as well. They provided the town map and restaurant map for us =) what a caring hotel.

OOh Yea~~ My holiday/ vacation/ whatsoever mood is just turned on !

But eerrrrrrh, Lets go for food hunt first~ Hungeeerry oledi. XD haha
following the map, we found that most of the famous restaurants were closed after 2pm! wtf.

Then the first reached to a recommended restaurant is these Geographer's Cafe.
We have a glance at the Menu before we go in,
and ahhhh.... we decided to walk away.  o_O
One normal hot black coffee RM8.9 ?!!wtf
No way~! definitely is a black shop!

Continue walking along the street, then we saw a kopitiam like restaurant with many people but is not in the recommended list la. The sun in Melacca is superb shine and hot = =||| I'm hungry. Hence, we decided to give it a try la~

We ordered :
The taste of the Noodles okok lor.  1st one is not so spicy, tastes like curry mee. 3rd one a bit more spicy, combination taste of laksa n curry mee, dats y it called Baba Kahwin Nyonya Asam Laksa lor.
Nyonya Cendol is nice with Durian paste topping!  I never imagine of combining cendol n durian can be so delicious!

After lunch, we have a walk around the Jonker Street, as far as I can see is rows of historic building with added some colourful paint or the shops selling souvenirs all around.

Pass through Puri Padi, the fresh Green landscape caught my attention. It is an Art Gallery which doing interior design as well. I just snap a picture from the outside and leave.

Then we decided to turn back to hotel and have a good rest, prepare for tonight adventure! =)

After rest 99, we continue to walk out and search for food. We passed by Melacca River, the view is so nice. I feel like im totally in a different world from Malaysia at the moment, is like very peaceful, in relaxing in overseas. There is one luxury five star hotel at the riverside the building design is so gorgeous
sorry for the blurred pic,
dunno y the NightMode of tab is working so slow!

 the Giant Windmill

This was taken at the round-about near jonker street.
The building is actually a Native food shop named 三叔公

Its almost 11pm, we were too late to have a proper dinner,
then we decided to taste the famous local food- Satay Celup!  at  万里香

it is like Loklok but you dip your food into satay sauce instead of boiling water.
there is a row of big refrigerator to keep the food cool.
All you need to do is just grab watever u wanna eat
and find a good seat

If you are good in eating spicy food, dis ngam u for sure!
 Kangkung balls =_=
I tell u ah, i dip dis vege for more than 10 minutes but the inner part is not yet cook!
The price is fair, RM0.70 per stick
You may ask the waiter to serve steam bread, and cucumber slices.

After that we just went back to hotel and have a good sleep.  =)
